What’s usually included?

Most elopement packages cover the celebrant, a simple set-up (an arch or flowers) and some photography. The bigger packages add transport, dinner or a night’s stay. Check what’s included before comparing prices, because a cheaper package often leaves out the photographer.

What costs extra?

  • Flights and accommodation
  • Hair and makeup
  • Extra photography hours (one photographer charges about A$160, IDR 2M, per extra hour)
  • Your legal paperwork at home
  • A village (banjar) fee, only if you elope at a private villa, and often included in the villa price

Not on its own. A Bali elopement is a symbolic ceremony. Most Australian couples sign the legal paperwork at home, before or after the trip. How the legal side works

Where can we elope in Bali?

Couples choose a waterfall, a clifftop overlooking the ocean, a rice terrace, a beach or a private villa. Public spots may need permission from the local village or site manager; ask your elopement provider what they arrange.
