Yes, but few do. Most Australian couples hold a symbolic ceremony in Bali and sign the legal marriage papers in Australia, before or after the trip. A legal marriage in Indonesia requires a shared, recognised religion and civil registration. How the legal side works
Can same-sex couples have a wedding in Bali?
Yes, as a symbolic ceremony. Indonesian law doesn't allow same-sex marriage, so couples sign their legal marriage in Australia, where it's been legal since December 2017, and celebrate in Bali. Legal guide

Should we choose a villa or a resort?

What's in a Bali wedding package?
Ceremony packages cover the ceremony space and basic set-up; dinner, drinks and photography are usually extra. Full-wedding packages for 50 guests run about A$25,600–26,400 and include more, with a guest limit. Packages and extras
Do we need a wedding planner?
Not always. Packages and elopements are designed to be booked directly. A planner helps most when you're booking several separate vendors. No Bali planner we checked publishes current fees, so we show them as price on request.
