Is the wet season worth it?
It can be: resorts are quieter and many showers pass quickly. Plan a covered backup for the ceremony and dinner, and expect rough surf on west-coast beaches from May to October: red flags mean don’t swim.
Which dates should we check?
- Australian school holidays and Christmas–New Year are the busiest weeks.
- Resort minimum stays often apply in peak season.
- Thai public holidays and festivals (Songkran in April, Loy Krathong in November) can affect availability.
Frequently asked questions
Is it too hot?
Highs are 31–34°C all year. Late-afternoon ceremonies are coolest.
Does it rain all day in the wet season?
Usually not; heavy showers often come and go. September and October are the wettest.
How far ahead should we book?
For December–March, many couples book resorts a year or more ahead.
