What’s usually in an elopement package?
Planning, the ceremony spot, a celebrant (symbolic or civil), basic flowers and often photography. Dinner, drinks, hair and makeup and extra photography hours are usually extra. Check whether VAT is included.
Is an elopement legal?
It can be either: a symbolic elopement with the legal signing at home, or a civil ceremony that makes you legally married in Greece (from about €950 with the paperwork handled). Can we legally marry in Santorini?
Where can we elope?
Caldera terraces and villas, small chapels and quieter spots in Imerovigli, Pyrgos and Akrotiri. Parts of Fira’s Old Port and the road to Ammoudi Bay are restricted until March 2027 (best month guide).

Elopement or a 20-guest wedding?
A 20-guest wedding typically costs about €14,570, mainly because of catering. An elopement for two or a few guests keeps costs to a few thousand euros.
Do we need a planner to elope?
No, but a planner or package handles permits, timing and the paperwork for a civil ceremony.
Can we add dinner?
Yes. At the caldera hotel menus we checked, dinner runs about €155–230 per person, plus drinks.
