How much does it cost for 20, 50 or 100 guests?

Catering changes most with the guest count. Venue hire, photography and the ceremony cost about the same for 20 people or 100.

The 100-guest figures are a rougher guide: few caldera venues publish their capacity, so check that a venue takes 100 before you plan around it.

Where does the money go?

For a typical 50-guest wedding, catering is the biggest cost, followed by venue hire.

About the catering figure: it comes from one caldera hotel’s published 2026 menus, likely the top of the market. Restaurant receptions may cost less; we’ll update this as restaurants send us their prices.

How much is a Santorini wedding per guest?

At typical prices, about €410 per guest for 50 guests. The cost per guest falls as the guest list grows:

• 20 guests: about €730 each
• 50 guests: about €410 each
• 100 guests: about €300 each

Dinner runs €155–230 per guest at the hotel menus we checked. Drinks are extra.

Why does it cost more than Bali?

Mostly catering. A typical 50-guest Santorini wedding costs about twice our Bali typical, and most of the gap is dinner: about €190 per guest here against much lower Bali catering. Venue hire and photography are closer between the two.

Should we book a package or build it ourselves?

Planners publish packages that bundle the venue, ceremony and coordination:

• Planner package including the venue, 35–50 guests: €7,400–9,500, from one planner’s 2026–27 list. Food and drinks are extra.
• Elopement package, up to 10 people: €1,550–5,350 (2026–28 prices; some exclude VAT and dinner). See the elopement guide.

Building it yourself with separate vendors gives you more control; a package saves time. Compare like with like: check what each package leaves out.

How can we keep the cost down?

• Trim the guest list. Catering grows fastest with guests.
• Avoid July and August. Venues and hotels charge most then; see the best month to marry.
• Ask restaurants for reception menus. Hotel menus are the top end.
• Check minimums. Some venues charge for missing guests below a high-season minimum.
